A key focus will be on the correct use of seat belt assemblies, as required by 49 CFR Section 392.16 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. This regulation states that no driver may operate a commercial motor vehicle, nor may any motor carrier require or allow a driver to operate one, unless the driver is properly restrained by a seat belt assembly installed at the driver’s seat.
